12. Data Ownership

The Agency (Licensee) owns all data collected from their clients. GEOAgentReady does not store or sell client-specific bot logs on its central servers; data remains on the Licensee's self-hosted instance.

We have no access to, control over, or claim to any data generated, collected, or stored by your self-hosted installation of the Software. The Licensee is the sole data controller for all information processed through their instance.

13. Bot Monitoring Disclosure

The Middleware identifies bots based on IP ranges and User-Agents. It does not track personal "Human" data unless specifically configured by the Agency. Agencies are responsible for informing their clients of this monitoring.

The bot identification system works by matching known AI crawler signatures (such as GPTBot, Google-Extended, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and others) against incoming requests. This data is purely technical in nature and does not involve the collection of personal data from individual human visitors unless the Agency explicitly configures such tracking.

14. Regulatory Compliance

14.1 Texas Responsible AI Governance Act (2026)

GEOAgentReady is designed to operate in compliance with the Texas Responsible AI Governance Act of 2026. The Software:

  • Provides transparency into how AI systems reference and cite third-party content
  • Does not deploy autonomous decision-making systems that affect individuals without human oversight
  • Maintains audit logs of all AI monitoring activities on the Licensee's self-hosted instance
  • Does not engage in manipulative or deceptive AI practices as defined under the Act
  • Enables Agencies to fulfill their responsible AI disclosure obligations to their clients

14.2 GDPR Compliance (EU/EEA)

For Licensees operating within the European Union or European Economic Area, or processing data of EU/EEA residents:

  • Legal Basis: Our processing of your purchase and account data is based on contractual necessity (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Marketing communications require your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
  • Data Minimization: We collect only the minimum data necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations (license delivery, support, and update services).
  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you at any time.
  • Right to Erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal obligation to retain license verification records.
  • Right to Portability: You may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

  • Self-Hosted Data: All client monitoring data resides exclusively on the Licensee's infrastructure. The Licensee acts as the Data Controller for any personal data processed through their installation and is solely responsible for GDPR compliance of that data.
  • International Transfers: Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place through Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.
